Universal Tool Trolley Features

The FEATURES of the new Industrial-Grade Universal Tool Trolley Precision Cutting System are highlighted in the sidebar on the left along with a corresponding picture.  Click on the picture to close the pop-up window.   Features include:

• Fits all Saws or Routers, Cordless saws to 10" circular saws, left or right handed, worm drive, water-cooled-any! All trim routers, fixed or plunge routers.

• Full Carriage support of the circular saw, router, or other power tools that can be mounted directly on the trolley carriage. An adjustable router mounting plate enables the precise positioning of the router without having to move the rails. The Router Mounting Plate also functions as a router table insert.

• All Aluminum components are hard color-anodized for an industrial-grade durable finish.

• New Circular Saw Mounting Plate with a Zero-Clearance Insert for a splinter free cut. The Duplex Rail is three inches wide and 5/8" high and comes in 50-inch and 30-inch lengths.

• The rails are extendable for any length cut and are easily joined using a draw-tight closure kit. The duplex rails function either as a guide rail on which the UTT carriage tracks or in pairs and function as a track on which a sliding carriage or sled is placed when used either in a panel saw or a bench saw sliding table configuration.

• New Duplex (dual tubular shaped edges) lightweight, extruded aluminum rail.The Duplex Rail was chosen because its flex response (deflection under load) models those of much larger and heftier rails, while not sacrificing weight, portability, depth of cut and ease of use . The Duplex Rail is made of high tensile strength aluminum that is heat-treated for hardness and is clear anodized for a durable finish.

• Flex Testing of the Duplex Rail measured less than 0.030-inch deflection over a 100-inch spread of the rail clamps with 10 lbs. of force applied at the rail's center. The addition of rail stabilizers reduces the flex response to less than 0.010-inch, even on rails as long as 160-inches. • The versatility of the new Duplex Rail is matched by the versatility of the new lubricated linear bearing referred to as the Universal Bearing. The Universal Bearing is made of lubricated nylon and its profile matches that of the duplex rail edge resulting in a smooth gliding action on the clear anodized rail.The unique design of the Universal Bearing facilitates its use as a Slidable Rail Clamp, a Rail Stop, Rail Gage and Rail Stabilizer.

• The Slidable Rail Clamp attaches to work pieces up to 2½" thick as well as to walls, floors, fences and decks or wherever an accurate cut is needed. The slidable rail clamp uses a set of perpendicular L-bolts that enable the release of the rail while the clamp remains attached to the work piece allowing the rail to slide through the clamp for an extended cut.

• The new duplex rail and universal bearings are fully compatible with the early vintage Circular Saw and Router Trolleys enabling owners of those trolleys to upgrade to the new rail if desired.
