RE-ENGINEERED TOOL TROLLEYS

The new Universal Tool Trolley Precision Cutting System replaces the circular saw Trolley and the Router Trolley with one model that fits all circular saws, routers and other power tools. The Universal Tool Trolley is the culmination of a total product re-engineering effort in which all features of the original trolleys were evaluated; the outcome being the retention of the best features and the addition of new features such as splinter-free cuts, significantly improved rail flex response (deflection), lubricated linear bearings and an integral slidable clamping system.

The re-engineering of Tool Trolleys originated with feedback from our customers who asked for changes to address their specific needs and we listened to them. Also Wood Magazine October 2005 issue and Fine Homebuilding Magazine November 2006 issue did superb unbiased reviews that highlighted our strengths and our shortcomings. Our strengths were many, our shortcomings were few and included: excessive rail flexing when not using blocking, no provision for splinter-proof cuts, no integrated clamping system and setup took a little more time then the others.

In March 2006, Tool Trolley began an intensive re-engineering effort to address the shortcomings. The re-engineering effort resulted in a superior industrial-grade product that we know will meet with your expectations.

The resultant modifications to the Tool Trolleys included replacing the L-shaped angle aluminum guide rail with a high tensile strength extruded aluminum alloy, double-tubular shaped (Duplex) guide rail that is heat treated for hardness and anodized for a durable, long-life finish; the guide posts were replaced with four self-lubricated nylon linear bearings that require no adjustment for ease in setup and operation; and a Zero-Clearance Insert was added for splinter-free cuts. An innovative Rail Clamp was added that clamps to a work piece up to 2 ½" thick and also can be attached to walls, floors, fences, decks or wherever you need a straight cut.
